Wild idea research & development

Throughout 2017 and into the first half of 2018 ICO FOMO fever spread like a contagion. ICO factories were churning out new offerings on a weekly basis that were not based on sound business principles and lacked the technical capacity to create a viable product and bring it to market. These “pump and dump” schemes betrayed the spirit and promise of the blockchain, cryptocurrency and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and now Distributed Hash Tables (DHT) to level the playing field.

Over many years of real world and online research into Blockchain and crypto, we have been driven by a fundamental mission and vision – “how can the blockchain DLT and next generation Holochain DHT be utilized to bring individual stakeholders together and provide opportunity to the historically marginalized and disenfranchised, the “Hidden Figures” who lack the resources and infrastructure to elevate their message.

As of this writing, a growing number of Blockchain projects claim the mantle of social responsibility as they seek to sell “utility” or social benefit tokens. An analysis of the teams working in the social benefit space reveals a fundamental lack of “boots on the ground” engagement with the very individuals and organizations on the front lines of critical social justice issues including poverty, women’s rights, the environment and more.

In contrast, the WIRD PBC team is comprised of thought leaders and experts with decades of global experience collaborating on social, environmental and infrastructure projects.

We have learned firsthand the value of being respected by locals who know and trust that you or your organization are not trying to exploit a situation for greed.

Our brain trust of educators and students, artists and activists, developers, storytellers, farmers and organizers provide invaluable perspective and insight that connects, promote and inspires innovative solutions to the world’s challenges.

For the past 15 years+ our co-founders, advisors and board members have created, developed and marketed projects for Thich Nhat Hanh in France, Germany and the USA and Dr. Jane Goodall in Austria, the Netherlands, Uganda, and Tanzania. Our team has produced film, television and digital first programming for Hollywood’s leading studios, created mobile games and Blockchain apps, received numerous awards for narrative design in virtual reality and emerging technology platforms and spoken to a vast range of creative professionals, civic leaders and entrepreneurs at the United Nations, Stanford University, Google HQ and more.

Over the past 36 months we have interviewed stakeholders across the globe and solicited the participation of experts and change agents who have lent their passion and expertise to the evolution of our vision. We learned a great deal listening to their ideas, inputs, aspirations, frustrations, stories and hopes for the future.

Our BHAG  (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) is to create an invitation only ecosystem of next generation DLT and DHT services and products that are easy enough for moms to use
